In 1980, Gregg joined a private group dedicated to the development of security specialist expertise. In 1983, he began his fulltime professional applications in event security. He worked events consisting of threat assessment, security advance set up, and protection related responsibilities. In 1988, he transitioned into the realm of high level executive security responsibilities, performing client protection across the country. Gregg developed into the role of primary specialist for some of the largest celebrity personnel in the world. He has conducted many seminars for executives and security specialists focused on professional use of force, primary client handling, legal articulation of applied force and threat assessment responsibilities.
In 1994, Gregg became a Police officer in the greater Los Angeles area. In 1996, he became one of only a handful of police officers to receive the coveted "Medal of Valor" award for rescuing 2 subjects from a fire. In 1995, Gregg was appointed to the Defensive Tactics Team (P.O.S.T certified), where he was responsible for conflict training of department personnel from every branch of law enforcement. He was awarded 2 Chiefs Accommodations for other actions in the line of duty and was appointed to the Anti-Crime Team (gang task force). During his law enforcement career, Gregg has been appointed as a Hostage Negotiator, member of the South Bay Mutual Aid Tactical Riot Team and training officer of personnel.
From 1992 to present, Gregg has been a published and featured writer/artist for the leading martial arts publications. He is a published featured Video instructor for several different series relating to Executive Protection and the Professional Uses of Force. One of these series was sponsored by "Smith & Wesson". He has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the Union Institute University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
